First trimester
Our first trimester ultrasound is more than just a medical screening—it’s the beginning of your family’s journey together. Performed between 7–13 weeks, this early ultrasound allows us to confirm your pregnancy, check your baby’s heartbeat, and assess early development. But just as importantly, it’s a special moment to see your baby for the very first time.
At our center, we create a warm, welcoming space where your partner or loved ones are encouraged to be present. We take time to explain what you're seeing, answer your questions, and honor the emotions that come with hearing that first heartbeat. It's not just a scan—it’s a celebration of new life and the start of a sacred connection.

Gender reveal
At our birth center, the gender reveal ultrasound is a cherished celebration of life and connection. Performed around 17+ weeks, this special scan offers families the opportunity to discover their baby’s gender in a calm, supportive, and family-centered environment.
Whether you choose to find out during your appointment or have it sealed in an envelope for a later reveal, we honor this moment with care and excitement. Our team takes time to explain what you're seeing, ensuring you feel informed, empowered, and connected to your growing baby. Loved ones are welcome to join, making it a joyful milestone shared with those who matter most.

Anatomy ultrasound
The anatomy ultrasound, typically performed between 20–24 weeks, is a comprehensive and exciting part of your prenatal care journey. At our birth center, we approach this important scan with both clinical excellence and a family-centered heart.
During the anatomy ultrasound, we take a detailed look at your baby’s growth and development—examining the brain, heart, spine, kidneys, limbs, and more. We also assess your placenta, amniotic fluid, and overall well-being of your pregnancy.
Partners and loved ones are welcome to join, making it a meaningful experience that celebrates the wonder of your baby’s growth.
If you are planning an unassisted/free birth, we would be happy to provide you with this ultrasound. We also serve clients seeing another midwife for an out of hospital birth.
*All anatomy ultrasounds for our birth center and home birth clients are included in their package fee.

Follow up ultrasound
Sometimes, a follow-up ultrasound is recommended to gather additional information, monitor your baby’s development, or reassess something seen on a previous scan. At our birth center, we approach every follow-up with reassurance, clarity, and compassion.
These appointments are designed to ensure you and your baby are thriving, offering another opportunity to check on growth, movement, or specific details that need a closer look. We take time to explain each step, answer your questions, and provide the support you deserve.
Whether it’s a quick check-in or a more detailed scan, we welcome you and your loved ones into a calm, family-centered environment where your comfort and confidence remain our top priority.
